Kyle Bouchard earns second male athlete of the week

Each week during the high school sports season the High School Sports Examiner and the Eastern Maine Sports Blog will announce a female and male athlete of the week. You can send your nominations to Marc at easternmainesports@gmail.com.

Male

Kyle Bouchard- Houlton- basketball- Recorded 33 points, 21 rebounds, and 10 assists in 74-63 victory over Fort Kent. Recorded 30 points, seven rebounds, and four assists in 79-48 win over Stearns. Recorded 18 points, seven rebounds, five assists, and five steals in 102-38 victory over Madawaska.

Bouchard also earned AOW just three weeks ago.

Bouchard has led the Shiretowners to a 14-0 and the number one seed in the MPA class C heal point standings.

Runner up

Tyler Thayer- Hermon- basketball- Scored 26 points, including his 1000 career point in 45-28 victory over Foxcroft. Scored 21 points in 55-49 overtime loss to Penquis. Scored 15 points in 56-24 victory over Penquis.
