Kyla Ross leads U.S. women to Junior Pan American Championships win

This one wasn't even close.

The U.S. women won the team gold and swept the top four all-around spots Saturday at the Junior Pan American Championships in Aracaju, Brazil. Their margin of victory over second-place Canada was a whopping 14.6 points -- 171.55-156.95. Brazil finished third (154.25).

2009 U.S. Junior Champion Kyla Ross, 13, scored 57.4 to win the all-around ahead of Sabrina Vega (56.25) and Alexandra Raisman (56.2). Bridgette Caquatto finished fourth (55.875).

Sabrina Vega, 2009 Junior Pan American Championships, Bars:

All four qualified to at least two event finals, which will happen Sunday. Ross will compete on everything except vault (strange, since vault is one of her best events). Raisman will compete on floor and vault, Vega on bars and beam and Caquatto on vault. Americans qualified in first place on every event -- Raisman on vault and floor, Vega on bars and Ross on beam.
