Jimmy Kuykendall Jr. turned in the area's best recent scoring performance, when he blasted an 811 series on games of 253, 279 and 279 in last week's session of the Friday Mixed League at Bowland Port Charlotte.
Kuykendall remained on a roll with a 757 series that included a 278 game in the Al Davis Memorial League in the same center on Wednesday, while Daniel Gassera, also in the Al Davis League, pounded out a 298 game to complete a 742 series.

* Jim Theakos rolled a 111-over-average 298 game to open a 688 series in the TGIF League at AMF Venice.
* Janet Romig blasted games of 237, 267 and 234 for a 738 series last Monday in the JDB International Mixed League at AMF Gulf Gate.;
* Ann Jenkins connected for a 712 series during last week's session of the Wednesday Night Mixed League at AMF Bradenton.
* Bill Meyers was has been on a recent hot streak at AMF Venice, posting a 160-over-average 709 series in the Craig Raymond James League and a 156-over 716 set that included a 267 game in the Senior Classic.
* Ed Netz fired a 171-over-average 714 series that included a 269 game in the Midseason Mixed League at Englewood Bowl.
* Dawn Brocklehurst posted a 142-over-average 622 series in the Maple Leaf League at Treasure Lanes in Port Charlotte.

Five-game scratch sweeper at AMF Venice
Another in a series of five-game scratch sweepers will take place at AMF Venice Lanes on Saturday (Feb. 4), beginning at 6 p.m.
