King County Sheriff's Office in Seattle, Wa. has re-opened the investigation of Kurt Cobain's death nearly twenty years after the case was closed.

In 1994, grunge musician Kurt Cobain was found dead, conclusively by suicide with a shotgun. The coroner's office had concluded that Cobain had injected a lethal dose of heroin before his death. A suicide note was also found at the scene that evening.

After dozens of requests to the re-open the case from the Seattle Police Department, the case has been reopened, following the development of four rolls of film taken at the scene of the suicide that are reportedly of higher quality than the Polaroids that were used by police during the initial investigation. The film had been sitting in an evidence vault for years.
