Kurt Angle set to retire from pro wrestling by 2016

When it's all said and done, Kurt Angle will go down as one of the 10 greatest pro-wrestlers of all time. To some critics, like myself, he's already in that list. It appears that the end of Angle's career is coming sooner than most would like to hear. According to a March 2nd report by WrestlingInc.com, Angle discussed how much time he has left on his TNA contract and when he plans on retiring:

"Well, I got another year and a half left with TNA on my contract um, I do plan on going probably uh two to three years, and I'm done. Um, I will retire and ya know, when I'm retired that means I'm done. That doesn't mean I'm going to retire and come back. It means I'm finished with it for good."

Angle would go on to tell Pittsburgh radio station 93.7 The Fan that TNA wants him to be a part of the company after he retires. Although it's a possibility, Angle stated that he would definitely be getting back into amateur wrestling.

Angle was an amateur Olympic Gold Medalist in wrestling. He's deeply involved in getting the sport back into the 2020 Olympics. You can see him wearing a new t-shirt on TNA television that supports his one man amateur wrestling crusade.
