KUMD Duluth Public Radio has played an important role in the Duluth music scene for years. From in-studio sessions and new eclectic music, to the best of the oldies, KUMD provides something for everybody to enjoy. It is now streaming 24/7 so you can hear a wide range of selections all throughout the night and day. KUMD also now has new DJ's who will be providing you with their own unique taste of music on The Basement from 9 p.m. to 3 a.m. every weekday, which is ran by college students of the University of Minnesota-Duluth. It provides a great soundtrack to the night, and allows you to explore new artists.
KUMD is also providing videos of in-studio sessions which can be seen on their website at http://www.kumd.org. At http://www.kumd.org you can also stream online, see the playlist and the program guide, and find up coming events in Duluth.
Radio Gallery airs Wednesdays at 4 p.m. and Thursdays at 7:45 a.m. which is a fantastic way to find new local visual artists, and hear what they have to say. Cloey Walsh, a contributer to Radio Gallery says, "It's a great way to get to know local artists, and understand what peoples stories and ideas are. It is an important thing to understand artists and when you visit an art gallery you always wonder about them and what they are all about. By listening to radio art gallery you are able to know."
Be sure to tune in on the radio at 103.3 or online at http://www.kumd.org at any time of the day or night.
