Here in San Francisco, residents who are following top news stories should note that the following are the headlines for Sunday, December 18 2011.

Crew of Mythbusters and Sherriff's deputies gather with community to look at the cannonball incident.
Right after there was a mishap with the TV production of Mythbusters, in which a cannonball flew into a Dublin, CA, home, around two hundred people met at a Dublin community center to discuss the incident.
Police arrest a suspect in the Oakley kidnapping incident
On Saturday, according to the Contra Costa county's office, a suspect was arrested for the kidnapping and rape of a female in the city of Oakley.
Fire in Alameda causes 3-alarm fire
Fire services were called to an apartment complex in Alameda. (Alameda is also where two men got life in the Chauncey Bailey murder trial. See that article on the Chauncey Bailey story by clicking on the blue link).
Approximately 20 families had to leave their homes and the damage for that fire has been estimated at around $1 million.

Break in water mains causes floods in San Pablo
In San Pablo, property has been damaged due to a water main burst and there is concern that the break may cause a break in the fuel line. Tense standoff in Newark, three questioned
News has come in that police had to question three people in Newark after there was a standoff and a shooting incident on Saturday night.
