Over 400 people showed up in the rain to see KT Tunstall Play Renos #1 club The Knitting Factory Concert House on Sunday November 7, 2010.

Kate Victoria Tunstall, better known as KT Tunstall (born 23 June 1975) is a Scottish singer-songwriter and guitarist. She broke into the public eye with a live solo performance of her song "Black Horse and the Cherry Tree". She has enjoyed commercial and critical success since, picking up three nominations before winning a BRIT Award, and a Grammy Award nomination. She is also the recipient of an Ivor Novello Award.

Tunstall released her multi-platinum selling debut album, Eye to the Telescope on December 13, 2004. The albums lead single "Black Horse and the Cherry Tree" was released on February 21, 2005 in the United Kingdom and August 29, 2005 in Canada and the United States. "Black Horse and the Cherry Tree" was one of the most successful singles and most radio-played songs of 2005 in the United Kingdom. On the UK Singles Charts, the single made number twenty-eight on the charts and on the US Billboard Hot 100, charted at number twenty. The next release from the album in the United Kingdom was "Other Side of the World" whilst "Suddenly I See" was released in the United States. Further singles released from the album were "Under the Weather" and "Another Place to Fall" which were also successful. (from wikipeda)

The set lasted over 90 minutes and she played 18 songs to a very intimate crowd.

The set went as follows

"Glamour Puss", "Uummannaq Song", "Come On Get In", "Weirdo". "Hold On", "Other Side", "Black Horse and the Cherry Tree", "Lost", "Golden Frames", Difficulty", "Entertainer", "Saving My face", "Madame trudeaux", "Push That knot Away", "Fade like A Shadow", "Heal Over", "Respect" and the encore "Suddenly I See".

She told a variety of stories in between songs and had the fans enjoying every minute of it, she even showed that she could "B-Bop"  and how it worked into some of the songs she used it in. This examiner can see why KT is #1 in Scottland and soon to be in the U.S.

Opening for KT was a band all the way from New York City,  "Hurricane Bells"

Hurricane Bells set lasted around 30 minutes and they played 8 songs, from their album "Tonight Is The Ghost" and their new EP "Down Comes The Rain". They also played their hit "Monsters" which is featured on the Twlight "New Moon" soundtrack.

Steve Schiltz (Lead Guitar/Vocals), Ashen Keilyn (Backing Vocals), Christian Bongers (Bass) and Colin Brooks from "The Big Cats" (Drums).

Hurricane Bells really got the crowd going with their very well done harmonies and Steve's awesome guitar licks. It's to bad they only had 30 minutes stage time. THEY ROCKED !!!!

Their set went like this,

"This Is It", "Darkness Is So Deep", "Freezing Rain", "The Winters In New York", "... Shooting Star", "Let's Go', "Monsters" and "The Cold Has Killed Us".

Keep an eye on these guys, They were very good !!!!

All in all, this examiner being a 'Hard Rock Rocker" enjoyed this show very much and recomends seeing either band the next time they play reno !!!
