Performing for a jubilant crowd at the LA Pride Festival on Sunday, June 8, singer-songwriter Kristinia DeBarge brought the energy level up even higher and kept the revelers dancing to a set of high-energy dance-infused songs. Along with her super hot male dancers, Kristinia showed style and moves with undeniable stage presence and charisma.
Born into the performing and recording musical family, DeBarge, Kristinia caught the music bug early. At the age of twelve her father, James DeBarge, took her into a recording studio to cut a duet. At thirteen she appeared on the TV show American Juniors, a singing competition show, where she made the cut to the Top 20. After that she spent the next four years developing her voice and honing her songwriting skills with the help of Kenneth “Babyface” Edmonds. And at nineteen she signed her first record deal.
Her debut album in 2009 entered 23 on the Billboard charts top 200 and her single from that album, “Goodbye” debuted at 75 on the Billboard top 100 single charts. Now at twenty-four, Kristinia has a new album set to be released in the fall 2014 and the lead female role in the upcoming film “School Dance” written and directed by Nick Cannon.
