Kristin Davis talks Taylor Lautner: 'What is he doing without his shirt on?'

Sex and the City star Kristin Davis says Twilight: New Moon star Taylor Lautner is adorable and a hard worker, but unlike most of the women in America, she would actually know.

Kristin, who has worked with Lautner in the past when he played Sharkboy in The Adventures of Sharkboy and Lavagirl 3-D, said she's not only proud of the actor's success she feels protective of his new-found stardom.

"I feel protective," she said in an interview with MTV News. "Like what is he doing without his shirt on?"

And, again, unlike most women in America, Kristin Davis would rather him stay dressed as Taylor Lautner's keeper.

She told MTV about meeting her former co-star in Texas and who much his body has changed since the Sharkboy days.

"He was a kid and he didn't have those muscles, and I don't know what happened. I see these pictures [now and] I can't believe it," she confessed.

Of Lautner's work ethic, Davis says it's top notch.

"He's a great kid and he works really, really, really hard and he had a great professional ethic when I worked with him," also mentioning he was "neither spoiled nor bratty".

"I'm happy for him," she said. "I'm just a little ... I feel protective...And then I hear he's dating people and I'm like, 'Ahh!' "

According to MTV News, Davis, who is currently shooting Sex and the City 2  has never seen Twilight, and is planing to catch up soon. 

She added, "I want to see it. I'm behind. I'll just need to do deep breathing. You know, they grow up so fast."
