The list of villains and their trouble making kids is growing for Disney Channel’s upcoming original movie called “Descendants.” The network has just announced another newcomer to the lineup but she is certainly not a new face in the celebrity world. E! News confirmed the news on Thursday that Kristin Chenoweth is set to join the official cast of Disney villains.

The petite-sized singer/actress will be taking on a huge role as the evil Maleficent. She will be facing off with her on screen daughter, Mal, which will be played by “Liv and Maddie” star Dove Cameron. The movie will feature a few famous Disney villains and their kids that has become a highly anticipated project for the network.

The cast of the young teen villains includes “Twilight” star Booboo Stewart, who will be playing Jafar’s son Jay, “Jessie” actor Cameron Boyce as Carlos, Cruella de Vil’s son, and Sofia Carson as Evie, the Evil Queen’s daughter. These evil kids may just get a chance to redeem themselves as the son of Belle and the Beast, Ben, makes them an offer they may not be able to refuse. Mitchell Hope is set to play the role of the good prince who may just save the day.

Production for “Descendants” will begin sometime in May and will make its exciting premiere on the Disney Channel in 2015. Fairy tale villains, as well as princes and princesses, have been making their way to both the small screen, and even the big screen, recently. With ABC’s “Once Upon a Time” becoming a huge hit, many more have followed such as “Once Upon a Time in Wonderland” and the upcoming flick, “Maleficent,” which will be hitting theaters this summer.

These Disney icons have been loved for many years, even the most hated villains. They will never go out of style, which is why “Descendants” is expected to be a big hit next year.
