It’s been surprisingly quiet for two celebs who love the limelight, but the news is out. Kristin Cavallari said yes to boyfriend Jay Cutler when he got down on bended knee and asked for her hand. The Chicago Bears quarterback popped the question while the two were on a romantic vacation in Mexico.
"I think we both knew from the moment we met that we wanted to marry each other," the former Hills star told People magazine. "It's been a great situation."
They’ve been dating for less than a year and are regularly victims of scheduling difficulties that keep them far apart during life’s big moments, such as birthdays and other major milestones, but it’s working for the Cavallari, 24, and Cutler, 27.
"My parents are both extremely happy," Cavallari told People. "There's been no drama, which is good."
Maybe it’s the way they work together. The California girl said she plans to move to Chicago once the couple has tied the knot.
"I want us to be together,” she said. “I don't want to be one of those married couples where one person is on the West Coast, and the other is somewhere else. I do want some normalcy in my life. I want to be a wife."
And a mother. Cavallari tells People her plans for the pitter patter of little feet, and the timing!
