Kristin Cavallari no longer on wedding-day diet as engagement gets called off

Kristin Cavallari, who had planned to amp up her workouts and dieting before her previously-planned wedding in the spring of 2012, can ease back on her fitness routine now that her engagement is cancelled.

On July 24, 2011, sources confirmed to People that Cavallari, 24, and Chicago Bears quarterback Jay Cutler, 28, called off their engagement after 10 months of dating.

While no specific reason for the split was given, sources say Cutler abruptly dumped Kristin after presenting her with a stunning 5.2-carat diamond engagement ring in April 2011.

Just last week, Cavallari and her friends celebrated at a lavish engagement party July 17.

Kristin Gushed That Jay Boosted Her Body Confidence

Ironically, Cavallari credited the 6'4" NFL pro with making her feel more confident and improving her body image.

"[Jay] makes me comfortable," she gushed. "I've dated other guys, and I've felt like I'm not skinny enough. But with Jay, I've always felt really comfortable in my skin."

Kristin, who recently showed off her sleek physique while walking the runway in a glass bikini at Miami Fashion Week, promised to work out harder before her wedding.

'She's Devastated'

"I'll probably keep up my regular gym routine for the coming months...until spring," she says. "And then probably two months before [the wedding] I'll go at it harder. Then I'll probably cut out alcohol for a month or two before my wedding."

Now that Cavallari is no longer planning a wedding, sources says she's depressed and shocked by the sudden split.

"She got dumped," says a source. "She's absolutely devastated. She can't believe this is happening.

"She was planning her dream wedding, the date was set, the location – everything was set. She's in shock that the dream wedding she was planning is going to end this way."
