It's only her first season as a housewife on "The Real Housewives of New York City" but Kristen Taekman has already found herself involved in major drama with one of the most controversial housewives out there - Ramona Singer, the only housewife still standing from the show's very first season. On Tuesday, May 6, viewers saw Ramona throw a glass at Kristen's face during the group's trip to the Berkshires, resulting in a cut lip.
Right after the episode aired, Kristen took to Twitter to let her fans know her thoughts about the whole incident. She tweeted that it was hard for her to watch the episode and that she now realizes that she was in complete shock over Ramona's action. She added that she's still in shock over what happened.
Some of Kristen's fans replied that she should've tipped over the canoe that Ramona was sitting in and that she should file charges against Ramona for assault. One person even asked Andy Cohen what happened to his no violence policy, clearly indicating that she believes that Ramona should face serious repercussions, possibly a firing, for what she did.
Ramona has also spoken out about her behavior. She acknowledged that what she did was wrong, calling it her "most embarrassing and vulnerable moment." She did add, however, that she did not intend for the glass to actually hit Kristen. "Never in a million years did I think the glass would hit Kristen," she tweeted.
While Ramona received some support from fans, who wrote that everyone makes mistakes, she actually received a lot of replies critical of her behavior. Several wrote in to tell her that they're not buying her claim that she didn't intend the glass to hit Kristen, pointing out that she clearly did since she threw the glass right at Kristen's face.
Fellow "The Real Housewives of New York City" star Heather Thomson has also weighed in on the issue. She wrote in her latest Bravo blog entry that Ramona's action was "outrageous." Heather also added that so much blood was pouring out that she really thought that Kristen would need stitches and that it looked much worse in person than it did on TV. Unlike Sonja Morgan, it seems that Kristen Taekman and Heather Thomson aren't willing to give Ramona a pass on her bad behavior because of what she was going through with Mario Singer at the time.
