Sunday's Kristen Stewart appearance on the MTV Movie Awards 2011 red carpet made some old school fashionistas feel as if they had landed in a time warp.
Witness KStew's quirky Balmain dress, peppered with safety pins that were reminiscent of the fashion details of the decadent early 1980s. Back then, punk had a lot of influence on what you wore wherever you went--including award shows.
That being said, add to the picture the fact that this Kristen Stewart sartorial choice was not only studded with safety pins, but the mini was also studded with studs as well. As compared to this busy frock, the Twilight star's simple black pumps and delicate silver rings weren't nearly as exciting as what covered her shapely body.
