Kristen Stewart and Taylor Lautner try to unwind during their hectic Twilight promotion schedule by stealing a few moments to have fun here and there.

After the June 28 premiere of Twiight: Eclipse in New York City, Lautner and Stewart went bowling at 11:30 p.m. in downtown Manhattan.

BOWLED 'TIL DAWN

Kristen, 20, and Taylor, 18, who had spent the day appearing on The Today Show, Regis & Kelly and Letterman, bowled into the wee hours of the morning with a group of people, and even managed to score a few points.

Stewart recently revealed that Lautner is an extreme sports buff who prefers to do something active (like go bowling or go-karting) during down time when he travels.

Taylor, who famously gained 30 pounds of muscle for the Twilight saga, is a ball of energy on-set as well, say co-stars.

"Taylor is the most fit person I have ever seen in my entire life," gushed co-star Elizabeth Reaser.

She adds: "Taylor doesn't even have to train. He can stand here and do a back flip for no reason using 5% of his energy he's so fit." [see slideshow + video below]

Nikki Reed, 22, joked that she tries to avoid hanging around Lautner on-set because she didn't want him to ruin her vampire makeup.

She recalls: "We [the female vampire characters] have 5,000 pounds of white makeup on and Taylor just wants to tackle you on the floor and throw you up in the air, and I’m like, ‘I can’t play football with you, Taylor — I can’t break a sweat. I can’t move, actually, because my wig might come off.’”

Eclipse, which co-stars Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart, comes out June 30.
