People were a bit stunned to see Kristen Stewart's crutches on the red carpet at Sunday night's Oscars. The “Twilight” star posed for pictures without them, but utilized them as she moved along throughout the night. Why did she need them? Us Weekly shared the scoop on Feb. 25.
Anne Hathaway and the hobbling “Twilight” star ran into one another backstage, it seems, and that's when Kristen Stewart's crutches were explained. She told Hathaway that she had cut her foot on glass, so the crutches were a precaution to keep the wound from opening or becoming worse. Stewart's manicurist Ashlie Johnson told Us that she had tried several different options including crutches, no crutches, heels and flats, and ultimately the crutches seemed to work out the best for her.
It seems Kristen Stewart's crutches made her a bit self-conscious and nervous, but many thought her choice of a Reem Acra gown was stunning. Unfortunately for Robsten fans, Stewart's beau Robert Pattinson did not accompany her Sunday night.
What did you think of the red carpet looks Sunday night? Who stole the show and whose choices fell flat? Did you like Stewart's gown and style? Clearly Kristen Stewart's crutches were not ideal for her glam style as she walked the red carpet, but she definitely made it all work.
