From Kristen Stewart’s appearance at the TIFF last night, it was evident that she is still suffering from the aftermath of her cheating scandal, and mourning the loss of her relationship with Robert Pattinson.
Kristen’s state of mind was obvious from the look of sadness on her face which she alternated with a forced and wistful smile.
At one point Kristen stood with her arms folded protectively across her chest, and the light was missing from her eyes when she smiled.
In other pictures it seems Kristen was there only out of a sense of obligation. Her facial expression indicated that she was merely tolerating the event until she could make her escape.
Kristen’s hair appeared unkempt – especially from the back. In fact, her hair actually looked better as she made her way to the airport for her flight to Toronto, wearing one of Rob’s T-shirts, as reported by Canada.com.
That Kristen seemed to be visibly mourning her split from Robert Pattinson was even evident in the dress she chose to wear.

Kristen opted for a floral patterned dress that stopped just below her knees, which was a far cry from the revealing as the bare shouldered, thigh high, or low cut dresses she has worn in the past.
Sun Media reports that during the hour and a half that Kristen was on red carpet at the TIFF, she occasionally signed autographs and posed with fans behind the barrier.
But judging from the sometimes far-away gaze on Kristen Stewart’s face, her mind was clearly somewhere else.
Perhaps Kristen’s thoughts were with Robert Pattinson and fellow Twilight cast members at the MTV Video Music Awards which were taking place at the Staples Center in Los Angeles at the same time.

MTV Host Addresses Kristen Stewart Scandal at MTV Video Music Awards
Meanwhile at the MTV Video Music Awards where Robert Pattinson and Twilight cast members unveiled a new Breaking Dawn 2 trailer, Exposay.com reports that MTV host Kevin Hart addressed the topic of the Kristen Stewart early on in the event,
Kevin urged the audience to give Kristen a break saying
''Everybody's mad at Kristen Stewart for making a mistake. She allegedly messed around with the director of 'Snow White and the Huntsman'.
''If she did, so what? It's over. Move on.
Kevin continued:
''The point that I'm making is this, if you made a mistake . . . so what!''

Kristen May Have Been Disappointed That She Couldn’t Work Her Plan
It’s also possible that the sadness on Kristen Stewart’s face was related to her inability to carry out her last ditch plan to help her get Rob back.
It was previously reported that while at the Toronto Film Festival, Kristen planned to try to talk her On the Road co-star, Tom Sturridge (Rob’s best friend) and his fianceé Sienna Miller into helping her get Rob back. See Kristen Stewart Using Robert Pattinson’s Friends to Help Her Get Rob Back
As Gossip Cop predicted, Tom Sturridge was not there. Whether Tom bowed out after he heard what Kristen was up to, or whether he was never scheduled to attend, Kristen’s did not get to execute her plan.

Kristen Getting Grief Counseling to Cope with her Split
Kristen is having a difficult time coping with her split from Robert Pattinson and the realization that even if he forgives her, he will probably not take her back.
