Seeing her husband exposed in a national magazine, canoodling with a woman in her early twenties (i.e., Kristen Stewart) -- that was too much for Liberty Ross. She has filed for divorce from director Rupert Sanders, it was announced late Friday afternoon.
Ross just filed her paperwork in the Los Angeles County Superior Court. In addition to asking for joint custody of their two children, daughter Sykla, 7, and son Tennyson, 5, Ross is also asking for spousal support, as well as attorney's fees.
Ross, 34, is represented by Laura Wasser.
Meanwhile, Sanders, 42, who is represented by Lance Spiegel, has also filed his response to the divorce petition. While also requesting joint custody, he did not file for spousal support. In terms of attorney's fees, Sanders wants to split the costs with Ross.
For those who missed the huge bruhaha in the pre-"The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn, Part 2" summer last year, US magazine published photographs of Sanders and actress Kristen Stewart, 22, passionately kissing. Sanders had directed Stewart in "Snow White and the Huntsman."
The incident originally prompted reports that Stewart was ousted from the "Snow White" sequel. More recently, though, it was announced that she was back in, but Sanders was also definitely out.
While it was never confirmed the couple had sex, Stewart and beau Rob Pattinson, 26, split over the incident. They have since reunited, but there are rumors of relationship difficulties and Pattinson had said he would make a long-term decision on the couple, soon. Reports say they have again split.
