Kristen Stewart and Sugar Ray Leonard put star power to work for juvenile diabetes at the JDRF Walk to Cure Diabetes.

New Moon superstar Kristen Stewart may not be willing to speak about her supposed relationship with costar Robert Pattinson, and she might not be too interested in saving her own life, according to the pictures of her smoking cigarettes that recently surfaced on the web. But she is certainly willing to put her star power and influence to work for a good cause.

Together with boxing champ Sugar Ray Leonard, Kristen Stewart recently appeared at L.A.'s Dodger Stadium to cut the ribbon and kick off the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation’s Walk to Cure Diabetes. According to OK! Magazine, she said, “It’s amazing to be around such inspiring people.”

Certainly, Kristen Stewart herself is an inspiration, at least for former Charmed star Dorian Gregory, who was also at the event. The actor, who has diabetes, told the magazine, "It’s amazing what celebrities can do as far as bringing out more attention,” adding, “It’s wonderful, and I thank Kristen for it.” The Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation (JDRF), and juvenile diabetes patients, most probably thank her too.

I was at the event and I was happy to see her. She wasn't there for publicity or to call attention to her self. She was there for a good cause. That makes me even a bigger fan of hers!!!
