Kristen Doute and her longtime boyfriend Tom Sandoval seemed to be the perfect couple on the first season of Vanderpump Rules, but once the show returned, fans learned that things weren't all sunshine and roses with the beautiful pair. In fact, months earlier, Kristen had discovered that Tom had cheated on her during a rough patch in their relationship.
Now that they are on the road to recovery, Kristen is doing her best to get the trust back in her man, but unfortunately, some pesky rumors about Tom and SUR's newest server turned into a bump in that road.
So, what's a girl to do?
After much consideration, Kristen opted to confront the situation head-on.
"If I wanted the rumors to stop, I felt I had to cut around all of the B.S. and just ask," Kristen explained in her Bravo blog on December 16. "Her theory on how the rumor got started is delusional. She also isn't in a position to be casting stones, but you'll just have to keep watching to find that out."
During a confessional shot after the confrontation, Ariana said that Kristen likely started the rumors herself -- which was completely outlandish. Why would Kristen create a rumor about the man she loved having an affair with Ariana? It didn't make sense.
Plus, Kristen had reason to believe that something may have happened because of the way certain details seemed to line up.
"The text conversations between Tom and Ariana were upsetting to me because one of the rumors I had heard was that they had done something at Coachella," Kristen said."I thought it was ridiculous and didn't really entertain it, but when they were (in my opinion) flirting via text and talking about Coachella, it just made my mind reconsider that rumor."
After speaking to Ariana, Kristen confronted Tom in an effort to have him admit to any wrongdoings, but her plan backfired and the two once again found themselves fighting.
It's so sad to see these two at odds. Clearly, they are very much in love with one another, but what Tom did isn't something that Kristen can easily get past. Trust is a key part of any relationship and getting that back is going to take a lot of work.
