Kristen Bell is busy, healthy and expecting (Photos)

Kristen Bell is about to join the long list of female celebrities that will try to balance a career, fame, and a family in the near future, as she has announced she is pregnant.
Bell has always been a picture of fitness and health, and she has said that her vegan diet has helped her stay in shape.

Bell has been almost a life-long vegetarian, adopting the diet when she was 11, the 32-year-old actress told Shape earlier this year that her biggest hurdle was giving up cheese. Her fiancé and fellow actor Dax Shepard has talked about his own vegan diet before, and Kristen credits him with helping her make the jump. With a garden of their own, having fresh produce makes it easy to prepare one of the healthy vegan recipes she finds online.

In addition to her meat-free diet, Kristen says she’s able to stay in shape thanks to her regular fitness regimen that includes Pilates, hiking, running, and strength training.

Bell and her fiance, “Parenthood” star Dax Shepard, are now expecting their first child together. Shepard confirmed the good news Monday night on “The Tonight Show with Jay Leno.”

The couple got engaged in 2009, but they won’t be heading down the aisle right now that a baby is on the way.

Bell explained why she’s reluctant to tie the knot, saying “The reason we’re not rushing to get married is because I don’t feel appropriate taking advantage of a right that’s denied to my [gay and lesbian] friends. That’s why we’ve been so hesitant.”

“Dax and I have talked about it a lot, and this issue is very important to both of us. We’re just standing up for what we believe in. Period.”

She’s narrated “Gossip Girl” for six seasons, and now, Bell will reportedly appear in person on the CW drama.

The actress will guest star in the show’s series finale, but we're not sure whether she’ll be playing the humorous blogger she voices or an another character.

There’s no word yet on the baby’s due date.
