Kristen Bell and A Great Big World help launch Everyday Card in New York

You have to love a party with free food, booze, music and cool people all scattered about; run in’s with old friends, and making the acquaintances with new ones. In honor of American Express’ unveiling of its new Amex Everyday Credit Card, a long awaited Spring evening wasn’t the only encouragement for New York City party goers on Wednesday, April 2nd at Home Studios. Guests had the opportunity to mingle with Veronica Mars star Kristen Bell and a host of others while Deejay, blogger, and Fashion & Beauty Enthusiast DJ KISS spun records in the middle of just about every “favorite” snack known to mankind with themed EveryDayMoments hashtag stamped in the dead center of it all. A musical performance by duo A Great Big World and art displays throughout the venue also allowed for great atmosphere and entertainment all night.

The Amex Everyday campaign was officially launched at this year’s 2014 Academy Awards Ceremony (The Oscars) on March 2nd, where actress/comedian Tina Fey introduced the hilarious American Express commercial – What’s Your 20, of which she starred in. Being one of the biggest launches in fifteen years, American Express has set out to now reward cardholders for the #EveryDayMoment purchases as oppose to those big buys; users will be rewarded based on the amount of swipes on their card, instead of how much was spent. And, as an extra added bonus for using your Amex Everyday Card on daily purchases, consumers will receive 20% more in reward points after 20 transactions made monthly, making the card more viable for the everyday shopper as opposed to just the big spenders.

With a focus on “busy moms”, American Express also expanded the campaign with a “Selfie and Snapshot” Photo Contest called the Epic Everyday Getaway tied to Mothers Day where contestants can submit a “mom-inspired selfie” and caption giving them the chance to win an all-expenses paid weekend getaway to New York City. Winners and their guests will get a styling session with top cosmetic brands, a private Maroon 5 concert, and a full weekend of fun and experiences.
