Kris Jenner is no stranger to tell people what they need to do. She currently manages all of her children’s careers, including Kim Kardashian. She wanted to try and manage Kanye West, but he stuck with his own management company. And now, she reveals that her management skills actually helped her and Bruce once before. According to a new Radar Online report published on July 7, Kris Jenner has revealed that both she and Bruce were once broke thanks to poor money management.
On yesterday’s episode of “Keeping Up with the Kardashians,” Kourtney and Scott were considering getting a helicopter they could land in their backyard. Kourtney didn’t want to say no, because he had just lost his parents. Plus, she didn’t want to manage him like Kris had done with Bruce. But when she talked to Kris about the helicopter, Kris told her that they had to manage their money a bit better.
“He had jet skis and motorboats and snowmobiles and a house on Lake Tahoe but the truth is, we owed hundreds of thousands of dollars in taxes. We didn’t have any money,” Kris told Kourtney on the show. She added that they had four children and one more on the way, meaning they had to better manage their money. “The fact that I was the one who went and cleaned up the mess, I should have gotten a medal for that. I had to be the practical one and get rid of some of these crazy expenses,” she added.
Scott ended up not getting the helicopter because he was afraid of it not being good for the children. He did see it as a safety hazard and ended up getting a slide instead. Later this season, Kourtney will announce that she is pregnant with their third child, so it was probably the right decision for them to get slide instead of a helicopter. But it was a shocker that Kris and Bruce were once broke. She has apologized for being so controlling.
Are you surprised that Kris would reveal such information on the show, given that it wasn’t too long ago that she and Bruce were expecting Kendall? Are you surprised that Kris’ strict management rules saved Bruce’s finances?
