Regrets, she has a few. While Kris Jenner is making headlines for her recent split from husband Bruce Jenner, the 57-year old reality TV personality is hinting that perhaps the marriage should never have happened in the first place.
On October 11, the New York Daily News posted excerpts from Jenner’s interview with New You Magazine. In the interview, the Kardashian clan “momager” said she regrets divorcing her first husband, Robert Kardashian.
“The one regret, if I had to do it over, would be divorcing Robert Kardashian,” she said. But then there wouldn't have been Kendall and Kylie, so that's the way I look at that. I don't have a lot of regrets. Everything happens for a reason, and we learn from our mistakes."
Jenner reminisced about her early years as the wife of the late defense attorney: "I have nine lives, and in one of my old lives, when I was married to Robert, I was the soccer coach, the Brownie leaders, and the carpool driver.”
She also added that her son, Rob, is a constant reminder of her first husband: “My son is identical to his father Robert,” she said. “They look alike, act alike, and have the same mannerisms. It's an amazing reminder of what an amazing dad Robert was."
In 2012, Jenner told Esquire that her marriage to Olympic athlete Bruce was her “second life.”
"You've got to remember that this is my second life," she said. "I was a housewife and a mother; that was my priority for the first half of my life. Now, after my first litter grew up, I had two more kids with Bruce, and he wanted to be really involved, and I went to work. He made that decision, because with his first kids, he maybe wasn't the best father. With us, he got a second chance."
