Kris Jenner and Bruce Jenner announced their separation last week and denied there were any plans to divorce. But according to Radar Online on Oct. 16, the couple is planning to divorce as soon as their contract for “Keeping Up With The Kardashians” is up.
“No one would watch if there wasn’t drama. Separation leaves it up in the air and will make viewers want to tune in,” a source tells the website. “But once it’s over, it will be over for the marriage too — once and for all.”
The family landed a reported $40 million contract with E! when they signed a three year deal in 2012. But the show ratings have plummeted from 3.02 million viewers on the season’s premier to just 1.79 viewers in September.
The source says Kris thinks the separation will boost ratings for the show which is contracted through 2015.
Meanwhile, the family has been plagued with drama in recent months. Kourtney Kardashian was slapped with a paternity suit from an alleged ex-beau claiming he was the father of her son Mason Disick. Khloe Kardashian has been dealing with cheating and drug scandals on the part of her troubled husband Lamar Odom. And Kim Kardashian has distanced herself from the show.
E! insiders previously told the website "Keeping Up With The Kardashians" ratings are so low the show is in danger of being canceled.
