It appears that Kris Humphries knows he has the power when it comes to his pending divorce from Kim Kardashian after she announced that she is expecting Kanye West's child late last year. According to a new Hollywood Life report released on Jan. 5, Kris Humphries could be purposefully ignoring the divorce from Kim Kardashian because it gives him some power over her. According to the report, Kris has been bragging to friends that he is purposefully prolonging their divorce in an effort to get revenge on her for fooling him. Of course, Kris wants to annul the marriage because he thinks that Kim married him for publicity, but Kim claims she married for love and wants the full divorce.
“He brags to everyone that he has that power. He’s said it a million times,”a source has revealed about the basketball player. In addition, Kris knows that he is legally considered the father of the child under California law, which is where Kim and Kanye both reside. If he doesn't grant her the divorce before the birth of her child, he will be legally considered the father and the child will be born out of wedlock. In other words, Kim and Kanye wouldn't be getting married before the child's arrival.
So why is Kris Humphries prolonging the divorce? “They can’t go to court until his basketball season is over, so he tells people that he is in control of her misery. When he found out about the baby, he was bragging to all of his friends that he wasn’t going to ‘allow’ her to be divorced when she had the baby. He intends to tell his attorney when they set a trial date next month that he can’t do it until late summer. It’s all planned and calculated,” the source adds.
