Although Kim Kardashian is pregnant with Kanye West’s baby, she is still legally married to Kris Humphries because their divorce is not yet final. According to a March 10, 2013 Daily Mail report, his family believes the 72-day marriage was a “sham” and note he likely wants “payback” for being used to boost ratings for Kardashian’s show.
Humphries’ aunt, Dedria, 55, told The Sun, “It was a sham… If I felt somebody had duped me and used me in front of the whole world, I would be very angry.”
She claims that is why Humphries has fought the divorce from Kardashian and wants the marriage to be annulled as though it never took place.
The basketball player’s uncle, Mike, told the website, “I can just see him wanting a pound of flesh back. I believe he wants payback.”
The two said they did not know who Kardashian was prior to the wedding because they don’t own a television.
The Mail reports that divorce proceedings are reportedly slated to take place in about three months.
Humphries’ attorney, Marshall Waller, ceased representing the athlete citing “irremediable breakdown of the attorney-client relationship,” reports the website.
In the meantime, Kardashian has reportedly been advised by her doctors to try and reduce her stress levels after she recently experienced severe abdominal pain.
