Kris Humphries and Kim Kardashian are still legally married even though Kim filed for divorce 72 days after the wedding. Humphries has been holding out for an annulment instead of a divorce because he says that Kardashian mislead him and that their marriage was a sham. Now, Kris’ aunt and uncle are speaking out in support of their nephew, saying that they also believe that Kardashian married Humphries to boost ratings for the reality show “Keeping Up with the Kardashians,” The Daily Mail reported on March 10.
Kris' aunt Dedria has broken the family’s silence, saying:
"It was a sham [Humphries marriage to Kardashian]. My understanding of marriage is people are going to give it more than 72 days unless there is serious abuse.”
Reality Tea reported on March 11 that Kris Humphries’ uncle understands Kris’ frustration with the situation. Humphries uncle believes the Brooklyn Nets forward wants payback for Kardashian’s deception saying, “I can just see him wanting a pound of flesh back.”
In response to Kris Humphries’ family’s statement, momanger Kris Jenner explains:
“Kim has been going through this divorce for months. She is under a lot of stress because of it and doctors told her she had a really tough week and the stress could become a problem if she isn’t careful.”
Fans and foes alike think that Kim Kardashian, who is expecting a baby with boyfriend Kanye West, could alleviate much of the stress she is under if she would simply admit that her marriage to Kris Humphries was simply for ratings and agree to an annulment. Allegedly Kim thinks publicly admitting her marriage to Humphries was a sham would do damage to her image.
