Kris Humphries and Kim Kardashian are still battling it out in an attempt to legally end their 72 day marriage from 2011. On Feb. 6thUS Weekly reported that new court documents were filed Feb. 5th in an effort to stop Kardashian’s request for an immediate trial date for the divorce.
The NBA stars attorney, Marshall Waller, reportedly stated "What is really going on here is that an 'urgency' in the form of an apparently unplanned pregnancy, something [Humphries] had nothing to do with, is perceived by [Kim] as an opportunity to gain a litigation advantage by trying to force this court to prematurely set this matter for trial."
Waller explained his unplanned pregnancy remarks by noting that Kardashian probably would not plan to get pregnant in the middle of a divorce.
Humphries has been attempting to get the marriage annulled for over a year now. He feels he was defrauded by Kardashian.
OMG! reported that the documents also pushed for the proceedings to be placed on hold until the end of Humphries basketball season in May or June. The courts are set to decide Feb. 15 if both sides have what they need for the trial to commence.
Kardashian, star of “Keeping up with the Kardashians,” is pregnant with Kenye West’s baby and is due in July.
