Kris Allen and Allison Iraheta spoke out about Adam Lambert's AMA performance.

Adam Lambert, American Idol superstar, has been under fire for a while now thanks to his controversial AMA performance.  

ABC even shut Adam Lambert out, prompting the singer to take to Twitter to share his reaction to that decision.

Fellow Idol alums Kris Allen (last season's winner) and Allison Iraheta defended Adam Lambert, according to OK! Magazine.

Allison Iraheta talked about Adam Lambert's AMA performance, saying, “As a performer myself, I know that when you’re onstage, you give it your all, and that’s what he did,” and adding, “I don’t think anyone should’ve been surprised.”

Kris Allen also had something to say about Adam Lambert's work on stage: “I thought it was Adam being Adam. Obviously, he couldn’t do that stuff on Idol, and so you’re getting to see the real Adam now.”
