A memorial fund has been started honoring the New York City children murdered by their nanny. According to a Jan. 7 Huffington Post report, a Facebook page dedicated to the Krim children has been growing since the week after the children were killed.
Lulu Krim, 4, and her little brother, Leo, 2, were stabbed to death on Oct. 25, 2012. The Krim’s nanny, Yoselyn Ortaga, is the prime suspect.
Kevin and Marina Krim started the Facebook page, “The Lulu and Leo Fund,” to honor their children and raise money for children’s education and enrichment programs. Marina explained that Lulu and Leo loved arts and science, therefore raising money to bring those programs to all children has become a priority for the family.
The page started off with just photos of the children and scans of drawings they created. However, in recent weeks, Marina has began sharing stories of her children, talking of her grief and describing how they are moving on with their surviving daughter.
On Jan. 2 Marina and Kevin Krim wrote,
“We are hopeful that 2013 will be a year of healing, growth and peace.”
