Other local clubs around Tampa Bay
The St. Petersburg Pelicans traveled to Miami to play the Miami Tridents on Saturday afternoon. By the end of the game, the Tridents had defeated the Pelicans by a score of 44 to 10. One important fact to consider in the outcome of this game--only 15 Pelicans were able to make the road trip on Saturday. This allowed for no substitutions related to injuries or fatigue. Therefore, every Pelican played the entire 80 minutes of the game. St. Petersburg will travel to Naples for a 2 PM match against the Hammerheads this coming Saturday.
The Sarasota Saracens drove to Gainesville on Saturday afternoon to take on the Gainesville Hogs. The Hogs, who had dedicated this match to one of their teammates, defeated the Saracens in a close game. This weekend, the Saracens will head northeast to play the St. Augustine Rugby Club. Game time will be at 2 PM on Saturday afternoon.
