Krewe Hosts Ft. Lauderdale at Skyview Park Saturday

The Tampa Bay Krewe will host the Fort Lauderdale Rugby Club this Saturday at 3 PM. The location for the pitch will be at Skyview Park. Skyview is located at 6203 South Martindale Avenue, Tampa, Florida 33611, and is located just to the northeast of MacDill Air Force Base.  For more information on the Tampa Bay Krewe, visit the team website at: http://www.krewerugby.com/.

Other men’s clubs in action this weekend

Two other local Rugby clubs will compete in away games this weekend. The St. Petersburg Pelicans are traveling to Miami for at 2 PM Saturday game against the Miami Tridents. Meanwhile, the Sarasota Saracens will head up to Gainesville to take on the Gainesville Hogs. This game is also at 2 PM Saturday. The Pasco Myrmidons will have the weekend off.

Collegiate games

The University of South Florida Bulls will drive to Miami to play the Florida International University Panthers on Saturday afternoon. Meanwhile, the Eckerd College Tritons Men’s Club will travel down to take on Florida Gulf Coast University (FGCU) this Saturday. The Tritons had two home wins this past weekend, including a 67-0 victory over FGCU, and now have a record of two wins and one loss for 2012. Also, the Eckerd College Sirens, the Ladies’ Rugby Club at the school, will compete in their first match of the season this weekend.

Youth games for this weekend

The Tampa Barbarians’ U-19 Boys’ team will have the weekend off. However, the Barbarians U-19 Girls’ side will travel to Fort Lauderdale to play in a rescheduled match on Saturday.

Rugby on TV this weekend
