Krewe versus Orlando
The Tampa Bay Krewe is hosting the Orlando Rugby Club at Skyview Park on Saturday. This game represents the first time the two teams have met since Orlando defeated the Krewe in a home match in early November. While the Krewe seems to be rebounding from its struggles in the Fall, Orlando is coming off its first loss of the season. This past Saturday, the Naples Hammerheads defeated Orlando 21 to 10, leaving the Hammerheads as the only remaining unbeaten Division Two team in Florida. Kickoff time for the Tampa Bay versus Orlando game is 1 PM. Skyview Park is located just northeast of MacDill Air Force Base. The address for this match is 6203 South Martindale Avenue, Tampa, Florida 33611.
Pasco versus Gainesville
Just to the north of Tampa Bay, the Pasco Myrmidons will host the Gainesville Hogs in Land O’ Lakes Saturday afternoon. The Myrmidons had a bye week last weekend, while the Hogs defeated the Sarasota Saracens. Game time for the Myrmidons versus Hogs game will be at 2 PM Saturday. The home field for the Myrmidons is at the Land O’ Lakes Recreation Center. The address for this match is 3032 Collier Parkway, Land O’ Lakes, Florida 34639.
Pelicans travel to Naples
The St. Petersburg Pelicans have a road game against the Naples Hammerheads on Saturday afternoon. While the kickoff time for the match is still 2 PM, problems with the irrigation system at the traditional Hammerheads pitch has forced the game to relocate to an alternate venue. The two clubs will now face-off at the Estero Community Park, which is located at 9200 Corkscrew Palms Boulevard, Estero, Florida 33928.
Saracens head up to St. Augustine
The Sarasota Saracens will travel to northeastern Florida on Saturday afternoon for a game against the St. Augustine Rugby Club. Game time for the Sarasota versus St. Augustine match will be 2 PM. The home field for St. Augustine is 1050 Bella Vista Boulevard, St. Augustine, Florida 32084.
Results from all of this weekend’s Rugby matches will be published early next week in the Tampa Bay Rugby Examiner.
