The company that manufacturers Velveeta Cheesy Skillets Singles for Kraft Foods issued a voluntary recall yesterday for the product's Ultimate Cheeseburger Mac variety due to undeclared soy ingredients, hydrolyzed soy protein and dried soy sauce.

Affected containers have a best by date code of “02 MARCH 2014 – 23 OCT 2014" and a UPC code of 2100004329. The affected products were shipped between May 6, 2013 and Jan. 16, 2014 to Kraft Foods distribution centers and retail stores nationwide.

According to the USDA's Food Safety and Inspection Service, which announced the recall, no one has reported an adverse reaction so far as a result of this problem, which was apparently caused by mislabeling at the factory.

Kraft's last major recall, for pepperoni and sausage pizzas, in August 2009, was also the result of undeclared soy ingredients.

The recalled food would be dangerous to eat for anyone with a soy allergy. Customers with questions or concerns about the recall can contact Kraft Foods Consumer Relations Center at 1-800-396-5512.
