Kourtney Kardashian has been in New York alongside Scott Disick after learning the news that his father passed away shortly after New Year’s Eve. They have been spending time in New York, so they could plan the funeral, as his father lived near Long Island. His mother had passed away just three months prior to his father is possibly buried near their home. And it sounds like some of the Kardashian family members made appearances at the funeral. According to a new Wetpaint Entertainment report published on Jan. 11, Kourtney Kardashian was in attendance with Scott for his father’s funeral, but the children were left at home.

The funeral was held in New York over the weekend near the town where Scott grew up. He is an only child, meaning he had to do everything for both parents. A source has revealed that the funeral was a "simple service." Scott and Kourtney's two children, four-year-old Mason and one-year-old Penelope, did not attend. Kris Jenner was there to support Scott and Kourtney.

According to the report, “Scott was wearing a black coat and sunglasses at the funeral, as was Kourtney. Kris has on a pair of white sunglasses and a scarf along with her coat.” Of course, Kourtney has been there for Scott, but one can imagine it is hard for him to lose both parents at once. "Scott is devastated but Kourtney is keeping him strong, she’s the one mainly handling everything," a source had said. “Without Kourtney, I don’t know what Scott would do. She is helping plan the funeral, she’s really doing it all."

She is trying to be there for him, since he has a history of turning to alcohol and partying when things are tough. "She knows what he’s going through because she lost her dad, so she can relate to Scott better than anyone right now," the source continues about Kourtney and her late father, Robert Kardashian.

Are you surprised that only Kourtney and Kris attended the funeral?
