Kourtney Kardashian introduced a new member of the family on Thursday. While some families exchange gifts and offer well wishes, it appears the star has decided to open her home to an animal. In what was a surprise post, Kourtney Kardashian introduced her new kitty to the fans on social media.

“Wishing everyone a very Merry Christmas! Our newest member of the family,” tweeted Kourtney Kardashian from her official Twitter account on Thursday. The celebrity posted a picture of the cat being held and it appears that the animal was appreciating the new home. Looking perky while being held, the cat probably was pretty excited to find a new home.

The fans were surprised but delighted by the news and offered congratulation messages to the star. Giving a home to any animal is good, but this kitty no doubt will be spoiled as the cat’s last name is now Kardashian. No word yet on if the kitty was named, but when it does get a name fans probably will be the first to know!
