Kourtney Kardashian, 35, of reality TV’s “Keeping Up with the Kardashians’” fame was the victim of a $4,000 theft. The money, all in cash, was in a briefcase belonging to Kourtney and her babies’ daddy, 31-year-old Scott Disick. According to an Aug. 11 report from Yahoo! News, the briefcase containing the dead presidents was stolen in early July from the Kardashians’ rental home in the Hamptons.

Kardashian and Disick have two children together, four-year-old Mason, and two-year-old Penelope. The glowing Kourtney is sporting a brand new baby bump and is expecting her third child with Disick this December, according to Cellebuzz. The couple has been vacationing and working in the Hamptons this summer while Kourtney and members of her famous Kardashian clan tape reality TV’s “Kourtney and Khloe Take the Hamptons.”

The Southampton Town Police in New York have confirmed the theft of the briefcase saying that "We believe the money was stolen from the briefcase in the residence." The police also reported that they were fairly certain that no one was in the home at the time of the theft.

According to a spokesperson for the police in Southampton, the $4,000 theft will bring with it a charge of grand larceny in the third degree. The police said that the theft was reported on July 8. "The crime was reported on July 8th. It's an ongoing investigation… We do not have any leads as to who stole the money."

The Hampton cops also said that it was Disick who reported the theft. Disick said that the theft must have occurred between July 1 and 4. Nothing except the briefcase containing the money was stolen. Police say there was no evidence of a forced entry into the home.

And although the police aren’t sharing any leads they may or may not have in the case, “sources close to the family tell TMZ they think it's an inside job because this is the third time the family has been hit.” TMZ added that “Kourtney suspects the culprit is someone close to them.”

Kardashian has good reason to be suspicious of those in her inner circle. Last February, $50,000 in cash was stolen from her home in Los Angeles. Just prior to that theft, an estimated $250,000 worth of jewelry was stolen from the home of Kourtney‘s sister, Khloe Kardashian. Following the jewelry theft from Khloe’s home, police had reason to suspect someone from the TV crew of "Keeping Up with the Kardashians" as the possible culprit or culprits – as some of the crew had access to the Kardashian’s residences.
