Saturday's top Central Iowa live music events include a 24-hour EDM festival, a CD release party, and more. Here are the details.

The Kosmos 24-hour EDM Festival is Saturday, June 14.
Kosmos/Avenue of the Saints Amphitheatre and Event Center

The Avenue of the Saints Amphitheatre and Event Center in St. Charles will hold Kosmos, a 24-hour EDM festival, from noon on June 14 to noon on June 15. The festival will be hosted by Ya Boy Dru Soy, and there will be performances by Professor Prometheus's Combustible Circus intermixed with the music. Tickets for the festival are $15 in advance and $20 the day of the show. This will be an 18+ event, and camping is free. Here is the schedule of performers for the event:

On Saturday night, Cedar Falls acoustic folk rock group The Host Country (featured video) will hold a CD release party at the Gas Lamp in Des Moines at 9 p.m. for their debut full-length Walk Away. The Host Country had previously released a self-titled 5-song EP. Opening the show for THC will be Will Locker and Josh Davis (of Bright Giant) and Oh, Jeremiah. The 21+ event will have a $5 cover at the door.

Saturday will also bring the second Ankeny Unplugged event of the year. The June 14 Ankeny Unplugged will feature performances by Des Moines folk singer/songwriter Max Jury, Des Moines funk/folk group GoodcaT, and Norwalk Christian folk/pop singer Jacey (Gutknecht). The music will kick off at the Wagner Park band shell at 6 p.m., and tickets are just $5. Ankeny Unplugged shows are 18+ events, and food and beverage can be purchased onsite from vendors.
