The 32-year old Korver is in his second season with the Hawks, and 11th NBA Season overall. He owns the NBA record for consecutive games with a three-pointer, a streak that currently stands at 110 games. For the season, Korver is averaging 12/2 points per game while making 45.7 percent of his three-point attempts.

Korver was honored to be included in the group.

"It’s an honor to have the opportunity to represent my country,” Korver said. “I'm excited to be a part of the national team program and will be ready to compete this summer."

The pool selected by USA Basketball contains 14 newcomers, of which Korver is one, and 14 returning players. Korver is the fourth player from the Hawks ever named to USA Basketball's national team pool. The other three were Joe Johnson (2006 and 2008), Steve Smith (1999), and Jason Terry (2001).

The 2014 World Championships will take place this summer in Spain.
