In divorce documents filed last week, former NFL player Kordell Stewart claims that his two year marriage to “RHOA” Porsha Stewart is “irretrievably broken” and that there are no marital assets to divide. Allegedly Porsha and Kordell did not have a prenuptial agreement.
Kordell’s divorce documents also state that “[Porsha is] an able-bodied person, earning income and capable of supporting herself,” Wetpaint.com reported on March 27. Declaring that Porsha Stewart is capable of supporting herself is Kordell “Slash” Stewart’s way of contesting spousal support before Portia has a chance to file her response to the divorce action.
Kordell’s attorney released a statement on behalf of the retired NFL player, saying that Stewart hopes “everyone understands that filling for divorce from “RHOA” newcomer Porsha Stewart was a “very difficult decision. Kordell Stewart has a son from a previous relationship and according to his attorney “Kordell’s ongoing concern has been and remains his son’s best interest.”
In a statement released on March 26 through Porsha Stewart’s representative, Porsha Stewart was considering filing for divorce, but put it off because she believed Kordell Stewart was committed to making their marriage work.
