Korbel Brut Rose California Champagne is one of only eight entries in the competition of more than 5,825 entries to be named Sweepstakes Winner for Sparkling Wine at the 2014 San Francisco Chronicle Wine Competition, adding a fresh triumph to Korbel Champagne Cellars' tradition of wine competition wins.

The San Francisco Chronicle Wine Competition is the leading competition of American wines in the world. The 2014 competition attracted 5,825 entries from more than 1,400 wine producers covering 25 states.
These wines were evaluated by panels of wine professionals drawn from throughout the industry. Wines were ranked in the following subcategories: Double Gold, Gold, Silver, and Bronze. The top wines in each subcategory were then re-evaluated to select the Sweepstakes Winners.
Eight entries were honored with the prestigious Sweepstakes Award, in the categories of Sparkling, White, Pink, Red and Dessert/Specialty wines.
Established in 1882, Korbel Champagne Cellars produces the United States' favorite methode champenoise champagne. Owned and managed by the Heck family since 1954, Korbel currently makes 11 champagnes and a small amount of still wine. In a separate facility, Korbel also produces one of the country's most popular brandies.
• 1/2 oz Cointreau
• 1/2 oz Brandy
• 1 cube Sugar
• Peychaud bitters
• 4 oz Brut Rose California Champagne
Add Cointreau, Brandy and Sugar cube soaked in Peychaud bitters in a champagne flute. Fill with Brut Rose California Champagne Garnish with an orange twist.
- 1 oz Vodka
- 1/4 oz Lemon juice
- 1 dash Grand Marnier
- 1 dash Blue Curacao
- Korbel Brut Rose California Champagne
Shake first 4 ingredients over ice and strain in sugar rimed champagne flute. Fill with Korbel Brut Rose California Champagne.
