Manny Pacquiao's advisor Michael Koncz dismissed concerns about Manny Pacquiao's mediocre sparring partners and maintained that Team Pacquiao is very happy with how training camp has been going in General Santos City, Philippines.
"We're very happy about the sparring partners, so tell the fans not to worry about things they read on the internet," Koncz told dSourceBoxing.com reporter Nico Akia during the Johnriel Casimero-Felipe Salguero title fight at the Makati Coliseum, Saturday night.
"Freddie is the trainer. Freddie's happy, Manny's happy, and I am happy," added the controversial Team Pacquiao fixture (Watch video).
In the main event of the said card, Casimero retained his IBF light flyweight via 11th round TKO victory over Salguero after dropping him in round 8 and 9.
In the other significant bout of the night, Genesis Servania avenged stablemate and countryman AJ Banal's loss to Rafael Concepcion by knocking out trash-talking Panamanian in the second round with a perfectly timed right to the jaw at the Waterfront Hotel and Casino in Cebu City.
Servania improved his unblemished record to 23-0, while Casimero's third successful title defense improved his record to 19-2.
