Likely furthering the debate between Xbox One and PlayStation 4 fans, Konami revealed that upcoming Metal Gear Solid 5 prologue Ground Zeroes will run at 1080p on the Sony next-gen console and 720p on Microsoft’s, according to a report today from GameSpot.
Both the Xbox One and PS4 versions of Ground Zeroes will run at 60fps, and there’s a clear difference in terms of graphics between the next-gen consoles and their predecessors Xbox 360 and PS3, which will upscale to 720p at 30fps.
Because Metal Gear Solid 5 –– both the prequel Ground Zeroes and the full-scale release The Phantom Pain –– will release across all for platforms, Konami invited gamers to inspect the graphics for each system on its website.
"The videos (which will be posted at a later date) and images below show an overview of these differences, which we hope will help to decide which version is right for you,” Konami said.
The specs for Ground Zeroes comes nearly two weeks after Metal Gear Solid creator Hideo Kojima said that to him the PS4 version of the game appears “slightly better” overall in terms of visuals, according to a previous GameSpot report.
