Kokanee brings the mountains on their beer cans

Kokannee announced the release of 8 of the “West’s Greatest Mountains” that will be featured on their beer cans. Those claimed 8 mountains are: Whistler Blackcomb, Marmot Basin, Lake Louise, Mount Washington Alpine Resort, Red Mountain Resort, Cypress Mountain, Kimberley Alpine Resort, and Fernie Alpine Resort.

Excuse me Kokanee, I think you’re missing Mammoth Mountain.  I won’t get too upset about them not including Mammoth since the mountains they selected are in BC, Canada like the company itself. Kokanee was founded in Creston, BC and they pride themselves on “Glacier Fresh Beer.” So, no doubt this beer is very tasty. Glacier plus Fresh plus Beer equals big winner!

In addition to having each of the 8 mountain’s trial maps on the cans, this Mountain Can Series will provide interactive QR Code technology for people to scan a barcode on their phone and download the complete mountain map with various mountain facts, trivia, and the chance to win prizes. If you don’t have a smartphone yet (this scanning technology is available on them) it’s time to get one.

Unfortunately, you can only get this Mountain Can Series in BC, Alberta and Saskatchewan for a limited time. Field trip So Cal skiers anyone?
