As if news about vetoed blockbuster trades to the Los Angeles Lakers wasn’t bad enough for Kobe Bryant’s future with the franchise, things just got much worse for the five-time NBA champion as it is being reported that Kobe’s wife Vanessa Bryant is filing for divorce after ten years of marriage.
Reportedly, Vanessa has just had enough of Kobe being unfaithful during their 10-year marriage and made the bold move to file for divorce on Friday, Dec. 16. This really couldn’t have come at worse time for the perennial NBA All-Star with the Lakers being in such turmoil, but it would be hard to say that he hasn’t had it coming.
Back in 2003, Kobe Bryant was charged with sexually assaulting a woman in Colorado. Despite Kobe’s admission of adultery with the Colorado woman, Vanessa Bryant stuck by her husband for the next eight years until it became too much to handle with the constant cheating.
Apparently, Vanessa has asked for joint custody of their two daughters Natalia and Giana. No prenup was agreed upon between the two which means Vanessa will be in for a big paycheck from Kobe Bryant as she is entitled to half of everything he has earned in the last decade.
