Kobe Bryant hits buzzer-beater over Dwyane Wade and the Miami Heat

The Los Angeles Lakers basically had the game in hand for most of the contest against the Miami Heat on Friday night at the Staples Center, but superstar guard Dwyane Wade just could not get anything going while being guarded by Kobe Bryant.

Even though Kobe and company were able to shutdown Wade for the most of the game, everyone knew that it would just be a matter of time before Wade would start to get it going and bring the Heat back from behind and that he did in the second half.

Wade had a really bad shooting night only hitting seven of 21 from the field, but he still finished the night with 26 points, nine assists and five rebounds and hit the biggest shot of the night for the Heat with a two footer and just 49 seconds remaining putting the Heat up by 102-100. Even though that was a huge shot to keep Miami within striking distance, Wade free throws with just three seconds left in the fourth quarter were even bigger, but unfortunately for the Heat, Wade only hit one of two to give Miami just two point lead 107-105 giving Kobe Bryant and company one last shot with three ticks of the clock left in the game.

Fortunately for the Lakers they had one 20 second timeout left where they were able to set a up a play to give Kobe a shot to win the game. Even though the Heat played great defense on the inbounds play in the halfcourt set, the Lakers were able to get Kobe the ball and watch him work! The result, a game winning three point bank shot over Dwyane Wade that will go down as one of Kobe's best shots of his hall of fame caliber career in the NBA!
