Knoxville area pick-your-own berry farms for Summer and Fall 2011

Knoxville is smack dab in the middle of fresh berry season, and whether your taste is for strawberries, blueberries or blackberries, picking your own is the best way to enjoy the harvest. Take the whole family, and your kids can learn about where their food comes from. Then, enjoy the bounty in your cereal, baked in a pie, or straight out of the basket.

Be sure and call ahead, as berry-picking can be based on the season as well as availability. Many of these farms are family-run and small-staffed, so an unexpected emergency can affect the schedule.
