Know the Bible, know Jesus

  • Deborah Ann Belka 5 years ago

Bill, thank you for sharing this. The other day my daughter talked to me about her friend who we both know is living in sin.

She was going to meet with her for dinner and was confused that her friend did not see her sin. Her friend goes to church, and is involved in "small group studies" so she felt her friend was a Christian. I told her to ask her friend if she ever read the Bible, because her sin was spelled out in a number of passages, especially from the King James Version.

They went to dinner and her friend said she does NOT read the Bible. She said she goes to church so that she can feel free to be who she is.

The bottom line is this. Today’s churches are NOT telling the truth, as her sin will only lead to hell and I am afraid for any one saying they are a Christians, but who are not willing to explore scripture to see how “Narrow is the way.”

    God Bless you my friend

"Jesus replied, If anyone loves me, he will obey my teaching. My Father will love him, and we will come to him and make our home with him. He who does not love me will not obey my teaching. These words you hear are not my own; they belong to the Father who sent me" (John 14: 23-24 NIV).

Instruct your young friend on how love is expressed through obedience to God. Love & Blessings, Bill
